How We Reach Out:
Christian adults and youth creating opportunities for children to establish a life-long relationship with a loving, accepting God.
Responsibilities:
- Plan activities based on a given curriculum
- Team-teach with another adult/youth
- Enhance the learning environment with appropriate decorations
- Modify activities accordingly for different age groups
- Attend leader meetings
Time Requirements:
2-3 hours per month. During the summer, the leaders select a preferred activity center and are only required to teach once a month. This flexibility allows the teachers many opportunities to still participate in worship.
Training:
Each month a new curriculum packet is handed out. The packet provides background information on the Bible story as well as specific activities/ideas for each center. Sue Kirk, the Christian Education Coordinator, provides additional training.
Qualifications and Special Skills:
Love of children, patience, enthusiasm, openness to learning, and the ability to work with others.
