Planned Giving Task Force
How We Reach Out:
The Planned Giving Task Force develops and implements a program to increase awareness of the need to provide perpetual funds to support the needs of the church. The task force also oversees the investment of perpetual funds to assure appropriate rates of return.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement investment strategies for endowment funds
- Increase awareness among church members of the importance of sound estate planning and of having a current will
- Inspire church members to include the church in their estate and will planning
Time Requirements:
Average 1-4 hours per month in planning meetings and activities to bring the importance of planned giving to the members of the church.
Training:
No special training necessary.
Qualifications and Special Skills:
Financial management skills; knowledge of wills and other estate planning techniques; planning and communication skills; ability to visualize future needs and financial plans to meet them.
