How We Reach Out:
The Lenten Mid-Week Service Committee meets with the pastor to develop a theme on which congregation members will speak during the Lenten mid week services. Committee members decide which individuals will speak.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with pastor to develop a theme for the speakers
- Decide on speakers and encourage them to participate
- Attend the Lenten mid-week services
Time Requirements:
Two hour meeting with pastor to develop a theme and make a list of speaker names. Attendance of the Lenten mid-week services.
Training:
On-the-job.
Qualifications and Special Skills:
Committee members should be able to contribute ideas on the speaker themes, nominate names for speakers and recruit speakers. The joy in hearing the speakers testimonies during the Lenten mid-week service is a just reward.
