Dear Friends,

Don't be shy! One of the core convictions of the New Testament is that all believers have gifts, special abilities given by the Holy Spirit. No one is left out. Every person in the church has a gift, every person in the church is a gift. We need each other - not only for the ministry's sake but for our own sake. It's true, we're more human, more Christ-like, when we recognize our need for one another and for one another's gifts. Together we are more than the sum of our parts. In the apostle Paul's words, together we are the body of Christ.

This is the hidden blessing of ministry: when we grow personally, we grow as a community. Friendship, like faith, deepens with commitment. So does joy. My prayer is that as we discover our gifts and put them to use, we will grow in joy. May this hyperlink guide help it happen for you.
