Open House September 19
The community is invited to join us for Open House Sunday, September 19th! We are hoping everybody will invite at least one other person/family to worship that day. There will be printed invitations for you to use which will be available in the Narthex at the end of August. After each service we will have refreshments outside for everyone. We are asking each our of Faith families to bring a finger food to share. This will be a celebration both for all who regularly attend Faith and our visitors.

Top 5 @ Faith - Week of August 29
#5 - Special Offering from Faith to respond to Pakistan flooding
The torrential rains and flooding that struck Pakistan in recent weeks continue. There is now an estimated 1,600 dead and about 1.5 million people are now homeless. Pakistan officials say that 14 million people are affected. With thousands still living in makeshift shelters, still trying to recover from previous disasters, food and shelter are the most urgent needs. Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) has been working quickly with our ecumenical partners on the ground to distribute essential aid to families and deliver critical relief to people affected by this crisis. Assistance includes food and non-food relief items. If you would like to contribute, please send in a check this week (payable to Faith Presbyterian Church) to the church office.

#1 - Join us this Sunday for Worship!!!!
We continue our series in Matthew by looking at Matthew 21:18-22, a very unusual story of Jesus' encounter with a fig tree. It's also communion Sunday, a wonderful time to gather with your faith community around the Lord's Table. Lastly, in both services we will honor Jim Park as he steps down after nearly 30 years of editing the PresbyNews. Join us at 9:00 or 11:00 for worship!

Faith Family Nights
We all need friends and we all need help raising our children in faith in Jesus -- that's what Faith Family Nights are all about. Come reconnect and make new connections with other families and the Lord. All are welcome, but the nights are geared for families with children from babies/toddlers through teens living at home. Mark your calendar for upcoming Faith Family Nights (Sundays from 5:15-7:30 p.m.): October 24, November 28, and December 19. Questions? Contact Pastor Quinn at 428-3439.
Have Some Extra Time?
Check out a couple ways you can help out at Faith. Go to the Outreach page and look for the Time and Talents tab.
Could Your Family (Or a family here at Faith you know) Use Some Help With Grocery Bills this Season?
We want to remind you all of our food-card ministry here at Faith. Because of the generosity of several individuals here at Faith, we have food cards available to those in our congregation (members or not) who could use some help with food at this time. If you could use a food card, or know of somebody here at Faith who does, please speak confidentially to any one of our pastors and they can be of help to you. We are here to help one another and to share with one another as each has need.
Conney Willis Memorial Scholarship
A scholarship has been established in the memory of Conney Willis and is now available to members of the Faith community who are interested in pursuing God’s call to mission. Conney was a much-loved member of Faith who served as a Mission elder and participated in numerous mission trips. She passed away in 2008 at the age of 49. The scholarship was established by Dwayne, Kevin, and Kim Willis (Conney’s husband and children) through donations given in Conney’s name to Faith Church. The mission committee has earmarked an additional funding source to sustain the scholarship in the years ahead. Individuals interested in pursuing missions-related activities such as a service project, travel or study should contact Mission elder Rudy Buehler at 376-7079 or rudybuehler@hotmail.com.
